Marian Marbury
Marian MarburyMarian Marbury is the founder of Adventures in Good Company and currently lives in Baltimore, MD. Guiding trips since 1988, she finds spending time outdoors is essential for her well-being and loves sharing this passion with other women. She also loves travel, learning about different cultures, challenging her own assumptions, laughing (especially at herself) and sleeping under the stars. She was planning to learn whitewater kayaking when she turned 50, but now thinks it may have to wait until 60.

Deb MalmonDeb lives in Minneapolis, MN, where she is currently working as the Program Manager for Adventures in Good Company. When she isn't in the office or out guiding a trip, she can be found: paddling, bicycling, playing Ultimate Frisbee, cooking, cross country skiing and hiking/running with her intrepid Terrier mutt, Cooper. She also loves a challenging crossword puzzle and a competitive game of Scrabble.

Anne FlueckigerAnne lives in Duluth, MN where she coaches a high school ski team and is working toward a Ph.D. in international education policy. She's been guiding outdoor trips since 1995 and has also taken groups to Russia. Anne's favorite outdoor activities include backpacking, trail running, biking, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. She also enjoys being at home with good friends or a good book.

Shelley ShrefflerShelley is a field biologist and is currently working as a Director of Environmental Programs at the Minnesota Environmental Initiative. Even though she has always enjoyed the outdoors, Shelley was a late bloomer when it comes to outdoor adventure, picking up her first climbing rope at the age of 32. When she isn't working at her day job, you are likely to find her kayaking, biking, mushing, backpacking and mountaineering.
Brenda Porter

Brenda PorterBrenda has woven outdoor leadership into her career since 1980, when she began leading backpack trips with the Girl Scouts on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. With a B.S. in biology education, Brenda has worked as a naturalist, outdoor educator, and trip leader for several non-profit organizations and regional park districts. Today, she is the Director of Education for the Colorado Mountain Club, in Golden, Colorado. Her current passions are fiber arts, native plants, hatha yoga, and hiking with Bellatrix, an enthusiastic yellow Labrador retriever.

Jan Latham

Jan LathamJan is a former nurse and mother of five who lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with her husband. Her passion is lightweight backpacking and hiking the Appalachian Trail or any other trail. She throughly enjoys the opportunity to guide a variety of trips for Adventures in Good Company and to share those wonderful experiences with other women. Her other interests include rock climbing, kayaking, snow shoeing, snowboarding, quilting and sewing. Another joy is cooking, especially for larger groups which makes everyone happy on her trips.

Tamar Zick

Tamar ZickTamar has been leading people into and out of the woods, both literally and figuratively for many years. She began working as a psychotherapist in 1985. In 1989 she took her first week long canoe trip in the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota. As happens for so many, being in the wild with a group of women changed the direction of her life. She has hiked, paddled, and snowshoed her way around the US, Canada, and Central America. She gets great joy from the shared experiences of camaraderie in the effort of backpacking and canoeing and the peacefulness of gazing at the stars before a well earned bedtime.
